Founded in 1987 by its four partners, Paddy Darling, Ron Battye, Paul Forde and Jim Lawler, DBFL provides innovative engineering solutions to a broad range of private and public sector clients. Our expertise includes apartment, housing and office structural design, drainage design, road design, junction design, water supply design, catchment studies, planning applications, building inspections, dilapidation reports, legal reports, CPO’s, site appraisals, as-builts, traffic impact assessments and EIS compilation.

DBFL now employs over 130 people. The staff structure within the organisation is such that teams can be quickly and efficiently adapted to handle civil and structural engineering projects of varying size. The team approach is further enhanced by the firm’s ability to harness the experience gained on every project and use this knowledge to the benefit of future projects.
