Printing House Square Trinity College

The high-profile Printing House Square development on the Trinity College Campus at Pearse Street is currently at roof level. DBFL have provided civil and structural engineering services for the development, working with Bennett Construction to develop and design the structural solution which realises this unique and complex design. We are delighted to see the complex steelwork in place for the roofs of all three interconnected buildings in the development. The roof structures are multi pitched and multi-faceted with the roof pitches springing from third, fourth and fifth floor levels.

The Quarter at Citywest

Construction is rapidly progressing at The Quarter at Citywest which is the second phase of Cairn Homes’ strategic housing development at Cooldown Commons, immediately adjacent to the N82 to the east, and Fortunestown Luas stop to the south of the site.

Dublin Airport West Apron Crossing

We are delighted to announce the completion of the West Apron Crossing project which will provide a vital new service link between the Western and Main Apron areas at Dublin Airport. DBFL were appointed by the Dublin Airport Authority to provide full Design, Contract and NEC Project Management services for this project from its detailed design right through to its Construction phase and handover.

Interview | Noel Gorman, Civil Engineer

Noel Gorman left his position in a large multi-national engineering consultancy firm to join DBFL Consulting Engineers in 2015. After only 2 years working in DBFL, Gorman has already started to design whole civil engineering projects; he accredits this quick progression to comprehensive training, and exposure to a wide variety of projects in DBFL.
