Dublin Port Capital Dredging

DBFL have been appointed by Dublin Port Company to provide Civil / Marine Engineering Services on the Dublin Port Capital Dredge Project. With our partners Anthony D Bates Partnership (ADBP), we will be providing specialist consultancy services for the duration of the Capital Dredging works. The Capital Dredge programme will deepen the port navigation channel to 10.0m Chart Datum over the next 3 to 4 years.

“Capital Dredging” involves the removal of existing accumulated sediments to create a new / expanded existing navigational channel, berthing pockets and turning basins to establish new dredge design levels (DDLs). Deepening the channel will provide significant benefits to Dublin Port by increasing infrastructure capacity, navigational safety and draught accommodation, and expand tidal access. The purpose of this project is to cater for the increasing number of ships, in particular the number of larger ships, trading with ports due to the growth in port volumes in recent years, and support the anticipated growth in port volumes over the next three decades.

DBFL have been actively working with Dublin Port Company on a number of projects including roads, services, multi-functional yards, quay upgrade / refurbishment and technical advisor support on marine piling work. We look forward to assisting Dublin Port delivering these key works.
