Greystones Marina Village

The DBFL drone captured some great footage of progress at the high-profile residential development for Glenveagh Properties plc at Greystones Marina where DBFL are providing full civil and structural engineering services. 153 houses and 205 apartments are now well under construction, with the first phase of apartments almost complete.

The houses are of timber frame construction, with precast ground floor plates. The foundations are a combination of precast ground beams on precast driven piles and traditional strip footings due to the variance in the ground conditions across the site. The apartments are constructed from reinforced concrete with precast hollow-core floors plates.

As part of this project, DBFL have also designed the publicly accessible Marina boardwalk, which has been nominated for an Infrastructural Award in the upcoming Irish Concrete Society 37^th Annual Awards at the end of March.
