Irish Concrete Awards

This year sees two DBFL projects up for nomination in The Irish Concrete Awards.

The Blugas site at Dublin Port is a 26,000 sqm heavily reinforced, high-strength concrete multipurpose storage yard with associated foul and surface water drainage networks and a reinforced concrete attenuation tank.  Reinforced concrete crane beams were also provided to allow for the future installation of Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGs).  DBFL were designers for the project, providing full civil engineering services from the Planning stage right through to Tender, Construction and Handover.

The Greystones Marina Boardwalk is over 300m long, featuring Banagher Precast MY beams spanning up to 10m onto precast concrete crosshead beams, all supported on concrete filled steel driven piles within the marina. The boardwalk will provide access to the new mixed use development overlooking the marina.
