OPW Approves Plans for new Garda HQ

The Office of Public Works (OPW) has approved plans for the new €80 million Garda command and control centre on Military Road in Dublin.

DBFL is providing civil, traffic & transportation, and structural engineering services on this six-storey complex on a two-acre site near Heuston Station which will replace the Garda premises on Harcourt Street. The new development is expected to have an office space of 11,100sqm and includes two storeys of underground parking of approx. 12,000m2 with 220 car parking spaces.

The new H.Q. building will provide vital Garda infrastructure for national policing. The overall development will consist of the building, secure landscaped courtyards, demolition of existing shed and all ancillary services.
