Cork St. Student Accommodation
This development consisted of the construction of a high-quality student accommodation facility on the site of a former factory facility in central Dublin. The facility on Cork Street provides 399 No. bed spaces in studio and 4 – 8 bed clusters over 7 floors.
A central courtyard is provided at ground floor and also a courtyard at roof terrace level serving the development and to achieve the green roof requirements. No car parking spaces are provided on the site, but two disabled on-street parking spaces are provided with a set down space for delivery vehicles.
The structure of the building is in-situ reinforced concrete frame with reinforced concrete flat slabs at each floor. The flat slab arrangement enables services to traverse the ceiling void without interruption from downstand beams. External walls are constructed with an outer facing brick and an inner SFS stud system.
