Laytown Park & Ride

This project comprises of the provision of enhanced parking facilities at Laytown train station in Co Meath. The level of parking required was determined from detailed parking surveys and analysis of existing travel patterns of rail users using a combination of POWSCAR data and face to face surveys of passengers. The determination of the anticipated demand was used to inform the site selection for the car parking.

The scheme also includes the provision of enhanced pedestrian linkages for the train station as well as the construction of a traffic signal shuttle system. The development of the design required consultation with Iarnród Éireann, local bus service providers as well the NTA, MCC and members of the public.
