Rathborne Village comprises 256 new one and two bed apartments and two and three bed penthouses. The development also includes a wide range of retail amenities including a pub/restaurant, café and many others. The Village is a development of 3 large blocks of apartments, a Super Valu and a large Pub / restaurant amenity . The largest block is eight storeys above podium level.


Enabling works included 3 to 7m high Kingpost wall. The basement was designed for a 3m level of water. Basement design and detailing was delivered on programme in under 8 months. This was a sloping site with podium slab poured at 1:20 fall.


The whole site overlays a multi-level car park for both retail and residential use. The main structural system proposed for the apartment development above transfer levels is twin wall precast walling with precast plate flooring. This project was part of the overall Pelletstown development on which DBFL acted for Castlethorn Construction as structural engineers. This contract, as with all DBFL projects, maintained a strong focus on programme and value engineering throughout.
