Shangan Park Ballymun

DBFL were commissioned by Ballymun Regeneration Ltd to provide civil/structural engineering services as part of a multi-disciplinary design team on the provision of environmental improvements to Shangan Gardens in Ballymun.  The works proposed included the rationalisation of all road/footway/parking areas to provide a new improved streetscape for the area. Works also included the undergrounding of existing utilities, provision of new utilities, upgraded drainage works, street furniture, lighting etc.

On the project, DBFL Consulting Engineers were working as part of a multi-disciplinary team including architects, landscape architects, quantity surveyors etc. A key part of our work was to ensure the architectural/landscape proposals met the required engineering standards, including safe pedestrian/vehicle access to the area. Particular attention to detail was required at existing property interfaces. The rationalisation of existing utilities serving the area also formed a key part of our work.
