This apartment development in Dundrum consists of over 500 one, two and three bedroom apartments in 3 separate blocks of between 4 and 8 storeys in height.
Each block is located over a basement car-park, with the basement and transfer structure constructed in reinforced concrete and the upper level constructed in either load-bearing masonry or concrete walls and precast floor units.
As the blocks varied in height up to 9 storeys, the structural solution consisted of cast in-situ, reinforcing mesh concrete walls for the lower storeys and traditional tied concrete blockwork for the higher storeys. This structural solution suited the contractors preferred construction methods.
Penthouse structures set back from the main building line are constructed in a lightweight Stanta system with zinc cladding.
