Wyckham Way QBC

Bus Priority Scheme

€5 million

Dorville/O’Malley/Crossridge Investments/Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council

The Wyckham Bypass was a single carriageway road in Dundrum, which links the M50 to the Dundrum Town Centre. The scheme involves the widening of the carriageway and a bridge, which it passes over, the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over a river as well as new cycle tracks and footpaths. This road is being widened to 4 lanes, 2 general traffic lanes and 2 bus lanes.

This project also included significant relocation of utilities as well as complicated traffic management required for this sensitive location. DBFL was responsible for planning, tender design, tendering and also construction supervision. DBFL’s Transportation Department prepared the Traffic section for the Environmental Impact Assessment and also prepared the traffic engineering design of junctions, cycle lanes and the bus lanes.
