DBFL awarded Wellington Lane Road Cycle Scheme and Francis Street Environmental Improvements Scheme

DBFL’s Transportation Team were recently awarded two significant projects in Dublin, the Wellington Lane Cycle Scheme in Templeogue for South Dublin County Council and the Francis Street Environmental Improvement Scheme for Dublin City Council.

The Wellington Lane Scheme will provide continuous high quality cycle and pedestrian infrastructure along the 3.5km route. This will providing much needed facilities linking a significant residential population to community uses within this area of Templeogue.

DBFL will be supported by our established partners, Áit Urbanism & Landscape,

in delivering an enhanced public realm also as part of the scheme.

Francis Street Environmental Improvement Scheme aims to upgrade the public realm of this key part of Dublin’s street heritage through the realignment of the street and footpaths. The main aims and objectives of the Francis Street Environmental Improvement Scheme include providing a more pedestrian-friendly environment along the street, improving the environment for vulnerable road users (pedestrians and bike users) and providing a safe environment for people of all ages and all levels of physical ability, by providing designated crossing areas. Having collaborated successfully in delivering Part 8 Planning Approval for DCC, DBFL & Áit will once again team up to develop the detailed design and support the Council through the construction stages.
