What Is Pride?

In 2021, DBFL’s Diversity and Inclusion team, as part Dublin Pride celebrations, decided to have took a more meaningful approach to tie in with the commemorations, while showing a greater appreciation for the meaning of Pride.
We wanted an approach that informs our staff, increases awareness of the need for and story of Pride, while showing support and understanding for our LGBTQ+ staff and community. So, This year, we want to reshare those efforts, to remind us of the story of Pride and the momentous journey by the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland, as told by staff at DBFL. This short video helps provide a better understanding of “What is pride? Why do we celebrate it? What is the history behind it?”
