2026 NDIA Awards Nomination

Danny Pio Murphy was announced this week as a finalist in the Diversity & Inclusion Leader / Emerging Leader category at the upcoming 2026 National Diversity and Inclusion Awards Irish Centre for Diversity. Danny has played a pivotal role in DBFL’s EDI work from the beginning. As a founding member of the company’s EDI team, he helped develop and launch DBFL’s first EDI Action Plan in 2020, contributing to a five-year programme that led to Gold Investors in Diversity Accreditation in 2025.

He has supported the integration of EDI across policy, leadership, recruitment and training, alongside his engineering and management responsibilities. Danny is also involved in progressing EDI across the wider industry. As a founding member and current Chair of Engineers Ireland’s Inclusion and Diversity Society, he has helped embed EDI within the organisation’s ongoing work. He also contributes to the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI), where he advises on ACEI’s strategy, helping to incorporate EDI principles across governance, professional standards and sector collaboration.

Danny now moves on to the next stage of the award process, which includes an interview with the NDI Awards judging panel. The winner will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in February 2026. Everyone at DBFL wishes him the very best in the competition.
