Transition Year Programme
At DBFL, we are proud to support and inspire the next generation of engineers through our Transition Year Programme. This initiative offers students the opportunity to experience life in a leading engineering consultancy,gain insight into the industry, and explore potential career paths.
Participants learn from our experienced teams, engage in real-world projects, and develop practical skills
in a professional environment. By encouraging curiosity and providing hands-on experience, we help students build confidence and consider future studies in engineering and related fields.
As part of our broader community engagement, our staff also visit schools to share their experiences and offer guidance, helping students understand how engineering can shape sustainable and connected communities.
STEPS School Support
DBFL is proud to support STEPS, Engineers Ireland’s outreach programme that promotes awareness and interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) among school students.
Through our involvement, we aim to inspire young minds by showcasing the exciting opportunities within engineering. Our team members visit schools to share their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for the profession, encouraging students to explore engineering as a rewarding and meaningful career path.
Our ongoing participation in local educational initiatives — including school talks, mentoring sessions, and community events — helps strengthen our relationship with the next generation of engineers.
