Danny Pio Murphy Speaker at the European Parliament

We are delighted to share that Danny Pio Murphy, Associate Director, Transportation at DBFL Consulting Engineers, has been invited to participate as an Expert Speaker at a hearing of the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development (REGI) in Brussels on 1 September.

The hearing will focus on the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative, a European Commission programme that promotes a more sustainable, inclusive and high-quality built environment, bringing together engineering, architecture, planning, innovation and community engagement to shape the places where people live and work. The initiative places equal emphasis on sustainability, inclusion and quality of life.

Danny’s invitation is a recognition of his longstanding commitment to creating more inclusive and resilient communities through the built environment and reflects the growing influence of Irish engineering expertise in shaping European policy discussions. His contribution will help inform conversations on how the principles of the New European Bauhaus can support regional development and deliver better outcomes for communities across Europe.
