Aungier Street Student Accommodation

Progress continues on site of the 300-bed Aungier Street Student Accommodation project, with the main piling works complete and foundations including pilecaps and ground beams advancing this week.  The student block sits over a large retail store at ground floor, located in the heart of historical Dublin, an extremely archaeologically sensitive area.  The entire building is supported on piles strategically placed to avoid areas of archaeological sensitivity. The ground slab and rising elements will commence imminently and should be well advanced towards the podium and transfer slabs within the next couple of weeks.

The site is bounded by Stephens Street Upper to the North West, Longford Street Little to the South and Aungier Street to the South East.  Three historic buildings are being conserved and restored along Aungier Street each containing smaller retail units at ground floor and student studio apartments above. Construction works will begin on these buildings too in the days ahead. DBFL are delighted to be engaged on such a challenging multifaceted project.
