Chapel Road Pedestrian & Cycle Improvement Scheme

Thanks to Coffey for these update photos from the Chapel Road Pedestrian & Cycle Improvement Scheme in Delgany / Greystones aiming to improve local active travel, safety and connectivity, for Wicklow County Council

DBFL are providing design, site supervision, employer’s representative and PSDP services for Wicklow County Council, having already provided engineering services on the project for planning, CPO, detailed design, tender and evaluation phases. The project commenced earlier this year and will be completed in 2026.

This improvement scheme will upgrade the final remaining two sections of existing Chapel Road, from Convent Road Roundabout to Blacklion Manor Road at Seagreen, providing new footpaths and cycle tracks together with widened and upgraded roads (750m) for the benefit of locals, schools, and all road users.
