Glenamuck District Roads Scheme Update

It’s great to see excellent progress on site, and the sun shining, as work continues on the Glenamuck District Roads Scheme (GDRS).

The GDRS comprises over 3.3 km of new roads, major upgrades to the existing Glenamuck Road, and several new junctions connecting to the surrounding road network. It will also deliver more than 6 km of high-quality pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, along with enhanced junction priority for public transport.

Once completed, the scheme will significantly enhance multi-modal transport connectivity across Glenamuck, Carrickmines, and Kiltiernan, supporting sustainable travel and future growth in the region.

DBFL Consulting Engineers are delighted to be providing design, Employer’s Representative and PSDP services to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for this scheme, which is being constructed by BAM UK & Ireland. We are proud of our involvement in the project with DLRCC, progressing it from preliminary design through planning, CPO, detailed design and tender.
