Momentum Logistics Park
DBFL are proud to have provided engineering services from planning stage through to construction for the upgrade of Momentum Logistics Park at Naas, Co. Kildare, for our client, Palm Logistics. The upgrades include enhanced access roads, upgrades to public transport and active travel facilities, improvements to the public realm, drainage, pump stations, regional attenuation, and services upgrades. These works provide enhanced common infrastructure for existing users within the campus and enable future expansion.
In tandem with the upgrades, DBFL provided planning stage services for the successful planning applications for eight logistics buildings and associated infrastructure within the campus. DBFL also delivered tender and construction stage services for the first three LEED Gold logistics facilities, which were recently completed. The buildings are designed to a steel frame portal construction and are typically clad and roofed with insulated panels fixed to light gauge steel roof purlins and side rails spanning between the primary steel frames. The large bay warehouse slabs are designed and constructed to an FM1 standard. Vibro Stone Columns and soil stabilisation techniques were utilised in the foundation strategy to mitigate the environmental and cost impact of removing poor bearing soils off site. External works include concrete yard slabs, retaining walls, dock leveller ramps, access roads, car parking, watermains, and sustainable drainage solutions.
