Townsend Street wins on the double at ACEI Engineering Excellence Awards
Awards on the double for DBFL last Friday night with the Renewal of 180-187 Townsend Street winning both the Sustainability Built Environment Award and the Structural Award for small projects at the 2026 ACEI Engineering Excellence Awards. Many thanks to Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) for hosting such a wonderful night of celebration for our industry and thanks to ACEI president Tim Murnane for a great speech to inspire the attendees.
This important adaptive re-use project in Dublin city centre transformed a long-vacant residential block into a modern, accessible and socially impactful housing development, which the Peter McVerry Trust are now using to help address homelessness in the city.
From inception to completion, DBFL held to the principle of minimum intervention and maximum retention of the existing structure on this project, truly reflecting our mission of Engineering Sustainable Futures.
