Castlebar Active Travel Orbital Connect Route
DBFL is proud to collaborate with Mayo County Council on the Castlebar Active Travel Orbital Connect Route. This ambitious initiative aims to introduce approximately 7.6 kilometres of high quality, segregated active travel infrastructure throughout Castlebar and its surrounding areas. By linking schools, businesses, public transport hubs, and residential neighbourhoods, the project is set to significantly enhance connectivity and accessibility for everyone in the community.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined the recent webinar for the Castlebar Active Travel Orbital Connect Route, where Declan Haugh presented the scheme proposals with our clients in Mayo County Council and partners in M-Co. It was fantastic to hear your initial thoughts and suggestions on how the project can be developed to make walking, wheeling, and cycling safer and more accessible in Castlebar.
