Glenamuck District Roads Scheme
Fantastic to see the final section of the Glenamuck District Roads Scheme open last week, with all new and upgraded roads now fully open to traffic and active travel users.
DBFL provided civil, structural, transportation, contract administration and PSDP engineering services throughout the Planning, Tender and Construction phases.
The Glenamuck District Roads Scheme is a key enabling piece of infrastructure that will support the planned delivery of approximately 2,600–3,000 new homes, together with the schools, services and community facilities that will support a sustainable and well-connected community.
The scheme has been designed to improve connectivity while prioritising sustainable travel. It includes extensive walking and cycling infrastructure, public transport priority measures, safer connections for all road users, and environmental enhancements including significant tree and wildflower planting, together with habitat creation through several new ponds.
