Dunkettle to Carrigtwohill Pedestrian & Cycle Scheme

DBFL were delighted to provide detailed design & construction stage services for Cork County Council on the first phase of the Dunkettle to Carrigtwohill Pedestrian & Cycle Scheme between Killacloyne & Glounthaune Village. The scheme will be delivered in phases with the subsequent Phase 2 works about to commence construction between the Dunkettle Interchange and Bury’s Bridge. When complete the scheme will deliver in excess of 8km of high quality pedestrian & cycle infrastructure for East Cork connecting Carrigtwohill to Little Island and onwards to Dunkettle.  DBFL will continue to provide engineering and transportation planning services for the remaining phases of this exciting scheme which is being funded by the National Transport Authority.

DBFL are also delighted to announce that we have been recently appointed by CCC to provide similar consultancy services in delivering another significant piece of active travel infrastructure for East Cork connecting Ballinacurra to Midleton. This is being led by our growing team in our new offices on South Mall in Cork City Centre.
