Danny Pio Murphy at European Parliament in Brussels
A proud moment for DBFL on Tuesday to see Associate Director, Danny Pio Murphy participating as an invited Expert Speaker at the Committee on Regional Development’s hearing on the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The hearing examined the impact of the NEB to date and explored how its principles of sustainability, inclusion and quality can continue to support communities across Europe through future EU funding programmes.
Danny Pio presented practical lessons and principles on implementing successful inclusive, sustainable and community-led projects, drawing on real-world experience to demonstrate how these approaches can be applied more widely through the NEB initiative across Europe.
It was encouraging to see strong engagement from policymakers and experts on topics including urban regeneration, inclusive design and supporting smaller towns, rural communities and local actors in delivering positive change.
We are delighted that Danny Pio’s expertise and experience, together with DBFL’s commitment to creating accessible, sustainable and people-focused places, could contribute to this important European discussion.
