BackDBFL publishes approach to Promoting Sustainable Workplace Travel
As part of our commitment to the ACEI Pledge to Net Zero campaign, DBFL recently published our second Thought Leadership piece, Promoting Sustainable Workplace Travel, and we also fulfil our commitment under the pledge to report our CO2 emissions on an annual basis.
From our last reporting period our baseline figures have been amended to include more information relevant to Scope 3. We have applied these changes across each of our reporting periods and have adjusted our aligned carbon target in line with this. Our target now stands at 163.6 tCo2e.
Notably from our base year 2019 compared to our most recent year 2023 we have seen a drop of 33% in our carbon emissions of approximately 100 tCo2e.
Our overall emissions in 2023 are 203 tCo2e. In comparison to 2022 there was a decrease from 204 tCo2e in 2022. Further decreases were negated by the lack of availability of green tariffs from energy providers for almost half of 2023 due to external market forces beyond our control. We have since re-established a green energy supplier which will greatly assist us in reducing our Scope 2 emissions further.
