Dunboyne Castle Hotel
Hospitality & Leisure
The redevelopment of the existing 18-century Dunboyne Castle is the centrepiece of this €30m 180-bedroom hotel complex. The project involved the refurbishment of the listed castle building with the structural strengthening works carried out in a sympathetic and non-destructive manner.
The four-storey bedroom block constructed in load-bearing masonry with precast concrete suspended floors and roof slabs. Additionally, the main function rooms of the hotel are constructed in structural steelwork using composite metal floors.
Lime-stabilised subgrade was used for road construction and Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems were used for surface water disposal.
