Safer Routes to School

The Wellington Lane Cycle Scheme will ultimately provide continuous high quality cycle and pedestrian infrastructure along its 3.5km route in Templeogue. In the meantime and in advance of the new school term, temporary measures have been installed to segregate cyclists from traffic, providing safer routes to local schools and encouraging walking and cycling for the local residents.
 

Meanwhile in Stillorgan as part of Phase 1 of the Stillorgan Village Area Movement Framework Plan, DBFL produced a design encouraging movement, usability and accessibility for people of all ages by providing high quality crossing facilities and links along identified desire lines to serve local schools, business and other village amenities. Local school children, staff and parents now benefit from enhanced pedestrian and cycling connectivity in conjunction with Public Realm improvements.
