Unlocking potential from an established busy urban site like Phibsborough Shopping Centre is rarely about starting again. It is about making the existing and the new work together.

Planning approval for the regeneration of Phibsborough Shopping Centre marks an important milestone for this major mixed-use development, with DBFL providing civil, structural and transportation engineering services.

This almost 24,000sqm scheme uses a sustainable adaptive reuse approach to retain and revitalise this well-known local landmark while introducing new streets, public spaces, retail, hotel, student accommodation and cost-rental housing.

For DBFL, the project reflects an increasingly important challenge: how to make complex, constrained urban sites viable, connected and capable of supporting a wider mix of uses. We are really looking forward to working with the wider design team on this regeneration project.
