Public Consultation for Lismore Park
Waterford City and County Council is inviting feedback on the proposed Lismore Park, Lisduggan and Larchville Accessible Neighbourhood Project.
This NTA funded project will significantly improve existing walking routes in addition to providing new permeable active travel linkages, making it safer and easier for people to travel around their neighbourhood while supporting active travel, enhancing the public realm, and improving road safety. Upon completion the project seeks to make walking and cycling the most convenient mode of travel for all users across the study area.
– Approximately 5.6km of new segregated off-road active travel connections
– Approximately 3.3km of traffic calmed ‘quiet streets’
– 3 no. existing roundabouts upgraded to Type TL703 layouts
– Over 30 no. priority-controlled junctions upgraded
– 27 no. controlled active travel crossings
– 1 No. Active Travel bridge structure
The scheme proposals will deliver an integrated active travel network to facilitate the continued uptake of walking and cycling for local trips by providing attractive, shorter, safe and easily accessible dedicated infrastructure connections that link established residential areas to local educational, retail, employment and local service centres across and adjoining the study area.
Public consultation drop-in events will be held at St. Paul’s Church Parish Centre, Lisduggan, Waterford (X91 E167) on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, from 12:00pm–2:00pm and 5:00pm–7:00pm. If you’re in the area do drop in to learn more of the proposed works and provide feedback.
