Hacketstown Residential Development
Delivering high-quality housing at scale takes careful planning, collaboration and practical engineering solutions.
DBFL is providing Civil and Structural Engineering services for the Hacketstown Residential Development in Skerries, Co. Dublin, on behalf of the The Land Development Agency, with Lydon delivering the project.
The overall development will provide 345 new homes and a crèche. Phase 1 is well underway, comprising 176 residential units across five duplex blocks, including a technically challenging undercroft car park supporting a reinforced concrete podium and duplex units above.
In line with DBFL’s commitment to sustainable design, all the foundation systems are constructed on cement-stabilised soil. This approach improves existing ground conditions, reduces excavation requirements, and minimises the export of excavated material, resulting in a lower environmental impact.
Phase 2 is due to commence shortly, introducing a combination of timber frame and traditional masonry construction. Close coordination between the design team, contractor and timber frame manufacturer will be key to delivering this next stage successfully.
We’re proud to be supporting the delivery of much-needed homes through collaborative engineering and look forward to seeing the project progress.
