Velo-city Conference 2026

Last week Aimee Dunne presented at Velo-city conference 2026 in Rimini, one of the biggest international conferences in the active travel space, bringing together a wide mix of practitioners, local authorities, policymakers, researchers and designers.

Her presentation focused on lessons learned in relation to challenges encountered during public consultation and stakeholder engagement.

It was a useful opportunity to share experience from our projects with an international group, but also to hear how others are dealing with similar challenges in different contexts. A common thread across the conference was that while the ambition for active travel is increasing, the real work is in getting the detail right on the ground and bringing people with you along the way.
