Works Progressing at NCH Discover Centre
Works are progressing well on the 1,400m² NCH Discover Centre which will be a new national centre for Learning and Participation on the historic NCH Campus at Earlsfort Terrace.
DBFL are proud to provide Civil and Structural Engineering services to this landmark redevelopment.
The phase currently under construction will deliver new recital spaces, flexible workshops and rehearsal spaces, dedicated Gamelan room and enhanced universally accessible facilities at the former Pathology Block, a Protected Structure.
Conservation, refurbishment and acoustics is at the heart of this project, integrating new building and accessibility standards to an iconic 19th Century Protected Structure. Foundations to the new Link Building and new plant room areas comprise screwpiles into the black boulder clay, with all new structural elements isolated from the existing historic fabric.
