Berth 26 / 27 (Cross Berth Quay)

Berths 26/27 (Cross Berth Quay) forms part of the overall Alexandra Basin Regeneration Project. The project was procured using a design and build contract form, and consists of a new steel combi retaining and anchor wall with reinforced concrete capping beam and surface pavements. The new quay wall also included the construction of three new bank seats to house linkspans for the management of roll on roll off (Ro-Ro) cargo vessels. Mooring bollards, ladders and support infrastructure also formed part of the works.

DBFL provided a technical support role to the Project Manager under an NEC contract, and coordinated the Cat III structural assessment of the design proposals on behalf of Dublin Port Company. DBFL also provided site inspection services throughout the construction phase in support of the project management team.
