DBFL provided full Civil and Structural engineering services for this large-scale residential development in Clay Farm, Ballyogan, Dublin 18. The development comprised the construction of 425 units in Phase 1 and 927 units and bridge in Phase 2, which granted permission under the SHD procedures by An Bord Pleanala.

Duties for DBFL within this project include: Management of the topographical survey for the site, stream and floodplain; Development of river and floodplain cross-sections; Consultations with DLRCC, Inland Fisheries; Flood plain optimisation including civil engineering and earthworks design to maintain flood volumes; Management of RPS as sub-consultants for flood modelling; Development infrastructure design; Planning, Tender and construction (ongoing) duties; Drainage design, including attenuation and flood control; Sustainable Urban drainage systems (SuDS); PSDP services; Construction Inspections; Design of 100m long road bridge linking Phase 1 and Phase 2, see below.

In Clay Farm Phases 1 and 2, DBFL successfully dealt with issues in relation to the presence of the Ballyogan Stream running through the site. The project included a Flood Impact Assessment on a section of the Ballyogan Stream which was managed by DBFL. The total value of infrastucture works for the project is circa €10m.
